Word is the recession is over, could this be true for domain names?

According to our top economist, the recession is over. Could this be true? Well productivity numbers are up and the loss of jobs is at its lowest in 12-months. So maybe we have reached bottom. In regard to domain names it is this writers opinion this is the best time to sell domains. I predict for the next 12-18 months sales will continue to grow and so will the prices paid for domains. So why do I say this? Here are some reasons:
- Discussions of a second stimulusare gaining momentum
- Green jobs predicted to be created within the next 12-months adding positive news to the job numbers
- People are itching to spend money. Any sustained positive news trend will unleash the fear of spending
- Housing sales are rising although at low prices. The real estate market must stabilize for the economy to recover and that is happening.
- International buyers have grown in numbers in the past 3-4 years. This is evidenced by the number of .de and other ccTLD domains that have sold.
I am optimistic about domain sales. However, I think this is all based on hope from the buying public. I fear that super-inflation is on its way and that the dollar will be devalued even further. So, I have begun to ask for payment for my domains in other foreign currency. I always keep in mind, there is an island put there with my name on it and if the dollar tanks, I have currency that I can use with stronger staying power. Just a though for you financial savvy domainer.\s.
