Over the past 12-18 months the country code top-level domain market has grown steadily with SEDO leading the reseller market.  The .de extension has gained strength with German people preferring the .de extension to the the .com in many cases. So why is the cctld market growing in strength. We will attempt to give you are prospective on this growth.

The U.S. economy has slowed new business growth which includes Internet commerce. So following the principles of supply and demand, the value of TLD domain names has been declining. In economies where the country is not reliant on the strength of the U.S. dollar, economies are growing in comparison the the U.S.

Countries such as China (.cn), Germany (.de) and Italy (.it) who are holding a level economy are poised for explosive growth when the U.S. dollar and buying power improves. However, a diamond on the rough and highly under rated is India (.in). The population is the second highest in the world and the only barrier to entry is the communications infrastructure. India is investing billions in the development of Internet super highways and fiber optics. Within 2-3 years the value of .in domain names will yield the holders of generic domain names, riches and wealth in a niche market. English is spoken in India due to the business ties with English speaking countries. Making English generic key words acceptable in a .in extension.
